The project aim was to look at park furnishings from a user perspective and research how we can include different functions in one object. We wanted to do a installation that encourages meetings between different types of people that never met before. An installation that wasn’t neither a sculpture or a regular piece of furniture or perhaps something in between.
The result became 5 chairs based on the measures of the longest and shortest persons in the world. In the middle i a chair with the dimensions of a standard chair. the installation is fully functional and can be used as furniture as well as sculpture. For children it becomes a play of which chair is bigger/smaller than the others.
The project was founded by Innovativ Kultur and Vivaldi and in collaboration with Nacka Kommun. The final installation are placed permanently outside Nacka City Hall.
